We are excited to announce that Drillco is implementing UPC barcoding on all products. Currently, we utilize a code-39 standard barcode on our products that is the same number as our EDP number. The decision to transition to UPC Codes was made after several requests from our valued customers. By switching to UPC barcode, we can ensure that our barcodes will be unique to us and cannot “accidentally” be the same as another company’s barcode. UPC codes are more universally read by today’s standard scanning equipment than our previous codes. Any newly manufactured and packaged items will begin utilizing our new UPC barcodes. Please note that there will be a transition period where we work through our existing stock of code-39 barcoded product. Until this process is completed, there will be a temporary mixture of old and new barcodes on products. There is no change to the Drillco part numbers that you are currently using; only the barcode number is changing. To download a complete Excel file of our new UPC codes, please visit http://www.drillco-inc.com/literature.php. This file will provide both the existing barcodes and the new UPC barcode numbers. Should you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team at 800-851-3821, or by email at sales@drillco-inc.com.
